NEW ENTRY PERMITS : UAE RE-INTRODUCED 60 DAY TOURIST VISA

Travel agent finds that there must be price difference for child visas as compared to a 30 day visa.

There is a good news that, according to the notification by the Federal Authority for Identity,Citizenship ,Customs and Port Security(ICP),UAE has  re-introduced 60 day visit visa, which is a part of widespread reforms called Advanced Visa System that came into force on October 3.

The managing director of Smart Travel Afi Ahmed shared that, they were one of the first ones issued 60 day visit visa for a client.Currently they are charging 500 dirhams.

Other travel agents are also reported to have issued 60-day visiting visas. The spokesman of Deira Travels informed that, “we were able to grant our client a two-month visiting visa”.There must be price difference for child visas as compared to a 30-day visa.

Bharat Aidsani from Pluto Travels said “We know that the 60-day visit visa came into force and is being issued.Even though,we are waiting for some clarification from the immigration department”.

The Advanced Visa System presented one of the UAE’s largest residency and entry permit reforms.According to the clarifications announced by the UAE Cabinet back in April, all entry visas are valid for 60 days from the date of issue.

The new entry permits include different types of visas such as  job exploration entry visa; one for business entry, a five-year multi-entry tourist visa; one for visiting relatives or friends; one for temporary work; and one for studies and training.

The most popular among the bunch is the five-year multi-entry tourism visa, this is the opinion of the experts.A sponsor is not required and is allows the individual to stay in the country for 90 consecutive days, and if the entire period of stay in a year does not exceed 180 days it can be extended for a similar period.Proof of having a bank balance of $4000 or its equivalent in foreign currency in the six months prior to dedicating the visa application is required.

Work exploration or business entry visas are issued for 60, 90 or 120 days.  Visas are issued to those classified in the first, second or third skill level under the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.  Fresh graduates from the world’s top 500 universities can also apply.  The minimum level of education should be a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
